Smoking Policies

Celebrity
Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this “No Smoking” policy, a cleaning fee will be applied to their onboard account. Smoking is also not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator or jogging track, or most indoor areas. Further, smoking is not allowed in certain outdoor areas, including restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools.
However, we recognize that some of our guests do smoke. Therefore, to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, we have designated certain areas of the ship as smoking areas.  To assist smoking guests to locate areas where smoking is permitted, we have posted signage onboard clearly identifying all smoking areas and ashtrays provided for smoking use.  Guest may also inquire at Guest Services regarding the location of the designated smoking areas onboard.
In casinos  on itineraries where smoking is allowed, there will be visible signage designating the area for both smoking and non-smoking guests. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and cigar bars (if the ship has one). Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.

On all ships, smoking is only permitted in designated areas on outside decks. Smoking in cabins or private balconies is prohibited and subject to a fine. Throwing cigarette butts overboard is strictly prohibited. E-Cigarettes, according to Norwegian law, are the equivalent of tobacco cigarettes, and therefore smoking these is only permitted in the designated smoking areas.

Smoking is not permitted when the ships are in port and fuelling, and staff will advise guests when they are not allowed to smoke outside.

For those on board Santa Cruz II - smoking is only permitted at the Sky Deck, where ashtrays are available. Smoking is not permitted in cabins. Throwing cigarette butts overboard is strictly prohibited. Smoking is strictly prohibited while ashore within the Galapagos Islands National Park.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas on outside decks.

Silversea
Smoking is prohibited in most public areas, guest suites or suite balconies. However, cigarette, e-cigarette, cigar, pipe and vaporizer smoking is permitted in the Connoisseur’s Corner both indoors and outdoors (where applicable). In addition, cigarette, e-cigarette and vaporizer smoking is permitted in specifically designated outside areas and tables:

• Silver Moon, Silver Dawn: Panorama Lounge (starboard side) and Pool Grill (port side)

• Silver Cloud, Silver Wind: Panorama Lounge (port side) and Pool Grill (port side)
• Silver Origin: on open deck 4 aft
