Surrounded by mangroves and accessed only by dinghy, Black Turtle Cove is a small inlet in the northern part of Santa Cruz. The cove is shallow, so it acts as a haven for young marine life. Visitors have been known to see black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles, baby hammerhead sharks, and a variety of rays swimming through the cove.
