Being comfortable is a top priority during your Galapagos cruise. The weather in the Galapagos can be unpredictable, so it's a good idea to layer your clothing. You'll want to bring shorts, pants, both long- and short-sleeved shirts and a jacket or sweatshirt for cooler days and evenings. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended, as well as thick socks, a swimsuit and waterproof sandals for the beach. A hat, sunglasses, sunblock, insect repellant and a resealable plastic bag to prevent water damage to cameras are all essential items on a Galapagos cruise.
There are no formal nights on a Galapagos cruise, and casual or smart casual dress is appropriate for evenings on the ship. Women should bring skirts, pants and casual dresses, and men should bring comfortable shirts and pants. A light sweater or jacket is also recommended.
Remember to pack all of your medications, prescription or otherwise, in a bag you can carry onto your flights.
